When I run the installer it won't see any of the shared drives at all which makes it impossible to install as far as I can see.
I can browse to the S: drive fine in explorer just not in the sims installer Any solution? SIMS and Windows 7. Capita dont support it yet and wont be supporting it for a while I have a few windows 7 machines running on my domain now and they need Sims basically.
Seems lots of people have it installed on Windows 7, just need to know if my problem is unique. I installed it on Windows 7 on my PC and it works fine and installed fine. The only bit that doesn't seem to work for me is system manager.
I disabled UAC while i installed and then reenabled afterwards jcollings System manager is still a 16bit app and so not supported on win7. Capita are still making the conversions to 32bit for some of the modules but i'm sure they will get there before win7 goes mainstream. Originally Posted by cromertech. This is to do with UAC. When you map a network drive, it maps under your normal profile, however when you run SIMSinst, it runs under the 'elevated' profile, which doesn't have the drive mapped. Here's what I did: 1. Map the network drive the normal way through explorer or net use. This will give your normal account access to the drive and it will show up in my computer.
Use the 'net use' command to map the network drive again. While it has been surpassed why what would follow on from it. At the time The Sims 2 was a game that improved on its predecessor and all of its expansion packs in pretty much every way you could imagine. There is a ton of stuff you can use in this game to make your dream home, new scenarios, jobs, neighborhoods and there is just a ton of stuff to keep your Sims and the others that are around busy. The visuals of the game are much improved from the first game.
The only negative that I really have about the visuals is that sometimes the children and grandchildren can just look the same. I do feel they could have done a bit more to make offspring look like they are related, but not at the expense of just all looking exactly the same.
The soundtrack is what you would expect from a game in this series. I would not say that The Sims 2 has the greatest soundtrack I have ever listened too. However, they have made it very easy to add your own music to the game if you want so that is always an option. The overall sound effects of the game are great and when a Sim talks, freaks out, gets embarrassed, or anything like that it always makes me smile. As this is a game that I played a great deal during my college years with a girl that would become my wife.

Lo principal es la placa de video y el w7 solo pide para el aero asique no tengan miedo de darle potencia a la maquina virtual no van a taner ningun problema. Igual creo que hay un programa para usar una pc virtual con windows xp dentro del mismo 7 ya que microsoft sabia que habria problemas de compatibilidad, si encuentran ese perfecto, sino usen el virtual box.

Hola chicos yo tengo los sims 2 que me los baje ayer lo instale con el daemos tool… y hoy me decia el problema de la compatibilidad busque la solucion como si tuviera windows vista, y me funciono, solo tienen que ir a el icono que esta en el escritorio, clic derecho, propiedades, compatbilidad y en mi caso lo coloque para windows xp service pack 3 me funciono correctamente… A tengo windows 7.

Buenas como va, vi en algunas respuestas que dijieron que el warcraft 3 era compatible con el windows 7, pero a mi me dio muchos problemas. Se me borraba todo el tiempo los distintos usuarios con las partidas guardadas y mientras jugaba se apagaba el monitor y quedaba trancado, tenia que reiniciar la pc.
He tratado de instalar el juego «Area51»; en mi laptop que tiene windows 7,.. Pero al menos resolvi como instalar «Half-Life»;esta buenisimo,.. Mi nombre es Jenna.
